What are the full requirements for registering a brand with Brand Registry?
If you want to sign up for Brand Registry:
  • A brand name or a logo with your brand name must be permanently affixed to your products or packaging. To register, you must provide images that show your brand name or logo on your products or packaging.
  • You must have an active, registered trademark or a pending trademark application for your brand name or logo, issued by the designated government trademark office of a country with an associated Amazon store. In some cases, you can also register with a pending trademark registration. View the country-specific requirements (login required).
  • You must be the trademark owner. If you are an authorised agent, have the trademark owner register the brand and then add you to the Brand Registry account as an additional user.
  • The trademark for your brand must be in the form of a text-based mark (word mark) or an image-based mark with words, letters, or numbers (design mark). Please note that trademarks may have different classifications based on the trademark office that issued them.
  • The text of your trademark must match the brand name in your Brand Registry application. If your trademark is an image-based mark with words, letters or numbers, you must upload a copy of the image during the registration process. It must match your trademark file exactly.
  • You must have the trademark registration number or application number provided by the government's designated trademark office.
  • You must have a list of product categories that should include your brand.
  • If you have a Seller Central or Vendor Central account, use the same username and password to create your Brand Registry account.
Do I need to create multiple Brand Registry accounts if I sell in more than one country?
No. You can create one account for global sales at Brand Registry. During registration, you can only select a trademark office for one country. However, you can add trademarks for other countries' agencies after your registration has been approved. We recommend that you file trademarks for each Amazon store in each country in which you want to sell.
Can I register more than one brand?
Yes. After registering your first trademark, you can register additional brands from your Brand Registry home page by clicking Register a New Trademark.
I'm trying to sign up to Amazon Brand Registry. Why am I getting an error message?
View our list of error messages, explanations and next steps (login required).
How do I view or edit my Brand Registry request?
To view the status of an application, visit the Trademark Applications page. You can also edit a request that you haven't submitted yet, attach documents to a submitted application or copy and correct a rejected request.
Can I grant others access to the Brand Registry portal?
Yes. After registering your brand with Brand Registry, you are automatically assigned the roles of “rights holder” and “administrator”. You can invite additional users to your brand and assign roles to them.
Can I add a new trademark for a brand that I've already registered?
Yes. Follow these steps:
  1. In the Brand Registry main menu, click Manage, and then click Manage Intellectual Property.
  2. Select the brand name from the drop-down menu, and then click Link a trademark.
  3. Enter the required trademark information for a single trademark, and then click link trademark.
  4. For ten trademarks or more, click Link multiple trademarks, download the template, enter the required information and then upload the fully completed template.
What is Amazon's Intellectual Property and Brand Policy?
How do I report policy violations or other forms of abuse that are not related to intellectual property?
You can use the “Report abuse” tool to report incorrect information about product listings, Amazon policy violations and other issues. Sign in to Seller Central to access the tool and use the main menu to select Performance and then Account Status. On the Account Status page, select Report Abuse. If you don't have access to Seller Central, you can report issues through Brand Registry Support. Sign in to your Brand Registry account and select Contact Us on your home page, then select Report a Marketplace Policy violation.

Amazon also provides a publicly accessible form for reporting alleged intellectual property infringement, such as copyright, trademark and patent issues.
What is Amazon Brand Registry and what tools does it offer?
Amazon Brand Registry is a programme that helps brand owners better protect and manage their brand on Amazon Netherlands.

With Amazon Brand Registry, sellers get access to a variety of tools, including:

1. Protection against unauthorised or misleading product listings.
2. Opportunities to better manage brand content and product pages.
3. Access to comprehensive brand and search insights.
4. Extra features for reporting potential intellectual property infringements.

A registered trademark is usually required to access the Amazon Brand Registry. The programme helps brands gain more control over their presence on Amazon and improve the customer experience.
The current administrator has left the company or is no longer associated with the brand. How do I update the administrator?
If there are no active brand administrators, there are two ways to request access to the brand.

Option 1: If at least one other brand is already registered with Brand Registry and you have access to the Brand Registry portal, you can submit your request via the Brand Registry Support Team. Select Update Brand Ownership as the subject. Your application will be reviewed and you will receive a response accordingly.

Option 2: You can try to apply for Brand Registry with the same trademark number as a brand that is currently registered. As soon as you enter the already registered trademark number, an alert appears with a link to a form to share your contact information. Click the link to go to the Share Contact Information form. At the bottom of the form, there is a link that is only available to eligible users. This leads to a form to file an Appeal. If your appeal is successful, you will be added to the brand as an administrator and rights holder.
